I applied online, a recruiter reached out to me the same day for a 30min call and then I was moved to the next step for a 30 min zoom call with the hiring manager, then a case study with a turn around of 72 hours I believe and finally two 30 min zoom interviews with the HR coordinator and a senior HR manager. They seems to be nice and interested in my resume. I explained my experience and why I wanted to work for Datadog. I was very excited to move to the next rounds since I truly wanted to work with them and the team seemed nice and interested in my resume. About a week after my final rounds of interviews, I followed up with the recruiter to ask for an update since I was also interviewing at other places and I wanted to know if they are moving forward with my candidacy. She told me everyone enjoyed speaking with me and she will have an answer later on the week. I mentioned that I was also in time contraints and I wanted to give an answer to another employer. I was ghosted after that and never heard from anyone. I had to turn down the other employer offer because the salary was low. I was really surprised to see that the position was put back on LinkedIn the following Monday. I thought they would at least have the courtesy of telling me that I wasn’t selected for whatever reason. After making it to the last round, the least they could do is emailing the candidate and tell them they weren’t selected. And on the first day I spoke to the recruiter, she assured me that they will be transparent about the process. (Glassdoor should add ghosting as part of the interview feedback)
