I applied online through Workday and was contacted by a recruiter. So I got invited to an interview to talk with two people: a Senior Manager of Total Rewards, and a Sr. HRBP. Interviews were fine, I thought we had a great conversation, and figured I was more than qualified for the position. A few days later (it was a Thursday when I had my interview), I emailed the recruiter asking for an update. I got an immediate response that the two people decided to go with someone in THEIR network. Fine, whatever. A month later, they reposted their job listing for the HR Generalist position. The person they thought would be a good fit didn't want it. Waste more time and money finding an external candidate. Thanks for wasting my time interviewing.
