I was asked to come in with some garments to show the manager, and was then proceeded to execute a sewing task. My sewing task was to take in a dress. I accomplished it in an hour or so. I received the job offer.
I had interview with store manager, but the part that actually counted was the sew test with the alteration manager. Which was a simple test which was hemming a chiffon dress

The hiring manager just read off basic interview questions from a sheet, quite impersonal and unengaging. After I answered each of the questions, the hiring manager would tell me their answer, as if my answer was wrong? There was also a mandatory sewing test, but this was unnecessary as they didn't bother to contact me at all after.

Starting with test your sewing skill, and ask pretty easy questions, introducing the working environment , and ask for availability. Very nice and easy. Friendly and then you will be introduced to the front manager
