Typical sales interview. There were no brain teaser questions. (not by my account) The only negatives were the fact I was scheduled to meet the manager but was instead interviewed by the assistant manager. The description of the job was minimal. And the pay schedule was the reason I declined,the pay scale is in my opinion a scam. But would be great for an aggressive person or for someone looking for a 'time filler' job. I was offered $11 hourly and then given a commission schedule to read over on my own time. ( not at all explained by the manager ) Not sure if they don't want to have to answer the subsequent questions or assume that people don't read the paperwork given them. The commission schedule showed a cut in the initial $11 hourly offer by $3.50 and an incremental commission stating at .5% and maxing at 4%, based on per hour sales productivity average. (i.e. when you work and don't hit their hourly lowest commission you'll earn $11 /hr, say for 20 hr = $220 but if you hit the productivity rate converting you to commission then a single sale for $2900 will push you to a $7.50/hr rate + .5% com on that sale earning you $164.50 and losing you $55.50 - you have to hit 2% before you even start to break even on your hourly wage! )

The interview process was pretty straightforward. They ask a bunch of scenario questions as well as have you perform a sales demonstration if you are interviewing for a stylist position.
