Decathlon India has a very stupid selection process for IT skills. They will call you early in morning at the end of the city their anubhav complex near Airport. First round is Sports round which interviewer will tell its not fitness test round, its to check team skills and other criteria. But when you go there, they will do two drills of some exercises and running. Everything on individual level, no team activity, nothing. They had called around 40 people and it took them hardly 15 mins to get done with the round. Then they take you for breakfast and ask you to introduce yourself and tell a joke. The most uninterested people in those introductions were recruiters themselves. And then said, wait for 10 mins, we will come back with shortlist. And to utter disappoinment of participants there, they called out 6 names from 40 people. So which means Sports round was a fitness test and only sports people could clear and that too all very young people. And all of us were like, what this stupidity is. Why you had to call so many participants and what was this show about? Why it was not communicated to participants in thier invitation mail that Sports round is a competitive round and it's all about fitness, fitness and fitness. So if you are not into sports and like VERY Fit, please don't go. They will say it's fun but believe me it's not. It's wastage of your time and money to travel that far. These people should be sued who are hiring IT people who are supposed to sit in office based on their sports fitness level and that too with wrong communications. I was there on 16th December IT recruitment drive. I have never felt so cheated during a selection process.
