Recruiter was professional and friendly during initial call. Progressed to interview with hiring manager - unfortunately the specific topics I’d been briefed on by the recruiter didn’t come up in the interview. Not a major problem, but slightly annoying as I’d spent my time preparing to talk about those, so was thrown a bit off. Biggest problem was that I never heard back after this, not even a template rejection email. Tried to follow up with the recruiter once, but still nothing (I don’t blame the specific recruiter for this, feels more like a strange internal ‘not a priority’ attitude across the board). I personally wasn’t too stressed either way, as while they’re a great brand, I would’ve had to take a pay cut, but this sort of brand will be some applicant’s absolute dream... so it just seems a little unfair to leave someone on the hook indefinitely if they’re super hopeful (or postponing other offers). Just email and let people know if they’re not progressing.
