      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) nel mese di nov 2023

      Colloquio

You take a personality test/assessment, Virtual Job Tryout (scenario based), On demand video interview (one way, AI) and if you are lucky invited to a face to face interview. I was invited to a F2F after all the steps. I picked the earliest time slot (6:30 am on a Monday), showed up 45 minutes early as directed, dressed in a black suit (blazer and mid knee length skirt) and white collared shirt, hair pulled back, pearl jewelry. I previously had a CJO with the airline. There was NO restroom so if you arrive early like I did and need to go to the restroom (I was up at 3:30 am) you are out of luck. The most negative thing that happened was when a "host" finally arrived to provide direction 45 minutes in they asked if anyone needed to use the bathroom. I did, and was ready to explode. I was told by another candidate that when I walked out, the hostess said, "Why couldn't they just way," like a normal bodily function was bad if you had to go. I felt that may have affected my ability to get a job offer. They also offer refreshments. DON'T take them. It is a trick and one of the many mind games they play. Be careful at each part of the interview in how you act and what you say. Be compliant, FUN (I acted more professional) and easy to get along with. The group activity this time around was moving magnets in the order of importance on a board. Some of them were illogical with limited info. This was different from the previous arranging a food cart activity. m Maybe this was where I went wrong this time around. My one on one was in a room with TWO people (previously it was only one). They made a point to say that the other person was there to watch the interviewer but I think they were from HR since I had applied previously. They ask you 3-4 questions and type non stop on laptops. My guess is that there is a "behind the scenes" team they are messaging who are adding up points and making group decisions. Why else would they type every word you said. They have no personalities and little interaction with you as they will be stone-faced. They changed up the F2F slightly but I knew what to expect. I felt I did well in all the activities and one on one. Prepare to smile, drink the Kool-Aid and be dismissed in zones. I didn't get the job this time around and was dismissed in zone 2. You will be taken to other rooms if not dismissed to do paperwork and take a urine drug test. If you are dismissed in another zone, you didn't get the job. They said we would be notified within a week of their decision, which I did. I had done this before so wasn't expecting to get an offer by email. I was bummed because the interview was on my husband and myself's 30th anniversary and missed the day. If you don't get the job you are out the money for the hotel you have to pay for by yourself and food. They pay for the flight and take you on a shuttle bus straight to the airport. If that is you, try right away to get placed on a standby flight for an earlier flight or you will be stuck at the airport for hours. I met a younger person at the hotel from my home city and befriended them, also headed to the interview, and they let me know who ended up with offers. I found out that some candidates that got CJO's that arrived LATE to the interview. If I hadn't got on an earlier flight I would've been on the same flight with others that got offers (Yes, sad and awkward). I noticed they weren't picking any other white women in my age range (50's) which was interesting. Maybe they had a specific age/race or sex quota to fill. Honestly, I have another CJO with a different airline so I am fine that they passed on me. Delta isn't everything. There are pros and cons with each airline that should be considered. They will tell you they are the best but they don't have a union and some of the domiciles have bad flight schedules. You have to eat, drink and sleep DELTA.

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.

It’s challenging, but rewarding, remember to answer in star format, and just enjoy the process, think about your why and smile! No matter if you have received a TBNT- don’t let that stop you from your dream…Keep climbing!

Tell me of a time you had to deal with a difficult customer (Tip -remember your work ethic and history) and why you want to become a Delta Flight Attendant.

I completed my assessment last week, and within the same day of completion, I received a email for the on demand virtual interview. I have the on remand virtual interview to complete. Any tips? What questions did they ask?
