The interview process was extremely extensive. There were three rounds of interviewing as well as a background check. The interviewing consisted of a first round interview, where I went into the office and sat with the manager for about 10-15 minutes going over my goals, and my experience. The second round was actually "on site." I thought this was very educational as well as demanding on my part. I met with one of their top reps to go over daily requirements as well as the overall plan for the company, and employees they decide to invest in. There were a lot of difficult questions and the rep definitely kept me on my toes, while still making me feel comfortable. The third round of interviewing was a phone interview where I went over the main highlights of the second round interview with the manager to make sure I completely understood everything. I thought this was very professional and felt comfortable knowing that I had plenty of time to ask any remanding questions that I had, as well as completely understand what the position entailed.

      Domanda 1

There were a lot of questions that I had to really think before answering, but I think the most difficult one was when I was asked to rank my student mentality, attitude, and work ethic in order from my strongest suit to my weakest. I felt they were all strong in my case and had to really think how they would stack up next to each other.

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Denver Presents (Denver, CO) nel mese di mar 2015

      Colloquio

The interview process was comprised of three stages - an initial meet-and-greet, a second-round interview on location, and a third-round phone interview. The meet-and-greet was pretty straightforward. I was asked about my previous experience, how my goals would fit in with the company, etc. They scheduled me for a second-round interview right away for the following day. The second-round was on location at Costco. I arrived 10 minutes early and was told to wait in the front entrance of Costco for a Denver Presents representative to come get me for the interview. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes and no one showed up. I called their office and no one answered (several times). I finally called the personal cell phone number of the hiring manager, which she had used to call me the day before, and managed to get a hold of her after a few tries. Once I finally met up with the marketing rep at Costco, I was asked to observe for a few minutes. Honestly, it seemed more like a glorified salesperson position, rather than a marketing company. I was very disillusioned with the fact that Denver Presents calls themselves a marketing company--they put on road shows every two weeks for a different product and try to sell that product in the Sam's Club and Costco locations throughout the city. As a customer, I would end up avoiding their booths because I know how annoyed I get when people in that position try to talk to me. The third and final round of the interview process was a phone interview a few days later. The hiring manager asked me a few follow-up questions and let me know that they would notify me if a position was offered by the middle of May. Here's the kicker - I was offered the position, and I ultimately did accept. HOWEVER, after trying to follow up with them multiple times (and I'm talking 4 or 5 emails to every address they contacted me with, at least 20 calls to the office, and several to the Hiring Manager's personal cell phone), they have not responded AT ALL. I've had to count them out completely and renew my job hunt because they did not follow through on their job offer.

What marketing strategies do you notice during the second-round interview?
