      Colloquio

      I went through 3 interview stages. The first was with the internal recruiter, the second was with the hiring manager and the third was a panel interview. Each interview was at spaced out by a month or so. My initial conversation happened in July and my last one was end of October. The interview questions were good and helped me understand the challenges/expectations of the role. The interviewers were polite and friendly. However, the main thing I couldn't highlight enough is that the communication of the interview process was absolutely appallingly shocking. After the 3rd interview - everyone from Diageo just went silent. I was never informed that I was rejected for the role. I sent a few chasers to understand what the status of my application was but was fully ignored by the internal recruiter (aka ghosted). I realised I was rejected for the role when I received a link to full out a survey about my interview experience which is really ironic considering how bad the communication had been until that point. I am not sure what the point of the surveys are when their recruitment is so bad. I logged onto the career page and that is when I saw for certain that my application was rejected. I followed up with an email highlighting that I was extremely disappointed with the poor communication. However, I wanted to understand why I was not selected for the role - so I asked the recruiter to ask the interviewers for some feedback.I was totally ghosted which is unacceptable after going through stages of the interview process. This unfortunately is becoming common practice from HR/Recruiters. It says a lot about the brand and I can say hand to heart that I would never apply for another role in Diageo. This was disrespectful and impolite to say the least. Candidates put a lot of effort to prepare for interviews and the least that HR should do is provide constructive feedback if a candidate has gone through 3 interview stages. There is a person on the other side of that email address. Being kind, polite and professional costs nothing.
