I was contacted by the head of HR for a position other than the title I applied for. I had a phone conversation on a Friday afternoon that resulted in a scheduled interview on the following Tuesday. Tuesday morning I received a request to confirm the interview time. I arrive to the interview at the agreed upon time, filled out all the forms, and was told they decided Friday afternoon to fill that position internally.
