The hiring manager joined the call and immediately complained about how busy he was and how it was difficult to find time to do this (I was very flexible in terms of scheduling). He did not answer any of my questions directly and rambled to the point that neither of us were sure what he was talking about by the end of each answer. Ended the call by reiterating how busy he was and that it would take a while for me to hear back from him. Never heard back from him and did not follow up because I was no longer interested.

Applied on LinkedIn and contacted directly by telephone a few days later from the VP of Sales whom reviewed my resume and job qualifications. He was very honest and upfront about the challenges in this role stating that it would be the most demanding job I've ever had and it requires a unique person that is up for the challenge.
