Interview with recruiter. Two onsite interviews which is redundant (all meeting with the team, could have been done with one onsite and one Google meet). I traveled 5 hours round trip for each interview. Given the amount of time I dedicated to them I wasn’t given the respect of a response. Just ghosted. Seems to be a pattern here.

I found the interview experience at Direct Agents disappointing and lacking basic professionalism. The initial recruiter or HR call felt rushed, with little to no time allotted for questions. I was not given the opportunity to ask about company culture, which stood out to me, especially after later reading Glassdoor reviews that suggest there may be internal culture concerns. First interviews are often a candidate’s only chance to assess fit, and this felt overlooked. I was later invited to an in-person interview, which I believe went reasonably well. I fully understand that not every candidate will be the right fit, and rejection itself is not the issue. However, the recruiter explicitly stated that I would receive an update by the end of the day or the following day. No update was ever sent. I followed up twice and received no response. Given that I took time to prepare and travel into their office, I do believe that warranted at least a brief follow-up or rejection email. Being told to expect communication and then being ignored felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Overall, the lack of transparency, rushed communication, and failure to follow through on commitments made this a frustrating candidate experience.
