Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Dogs Trust (Ballymena, Irlanda del Nord) nel mese di mar 2022
Colloquio
I applied for a part time Media Assistant Role in the Ballymena Branch. I have 8 years experience working professionally in lens based media, social media and more. All very relevant to the role obviously as I would be required to take photos of Dogs and update profiles to help get them adopted etc
They emailed 24 hours before interview that a practical would be required and all equipment would be provided. The Interview appeared to be going as well as it could right up until the panel revealed what the practical would consist of.
I was asked to take photos of a Dog using their camera, then using their laptop make a flyer to advertise the dog for adoption. This was after a standard question and answer format interview.
All this sounds fine until you an experienced professional content creator that has worked exclusively on Macs for years and using professional software such as photoshop, indesign, illustrator for promotional material etc
As expected it was a total nightmare as i struggled to navigate the windows system as well as edit the flyer in microsoft word . You only had 15 minutes to do this btw.
In the end it appears that I've been unsuccessful and can only assume it's because of the really poor attempt in the practical.
WHY DIDN'T THEY HAVE US PREPARE THE FLYER BEFOREHAND
I feel like i missed out on the perfect role because someone very poorly chose a practical task that is not accurate to what is required in the role. I'm going to contact them for feedback so may come back to edit this
