The interview process was combative in terms of the questions asked which deviated from the requirements of the role. While the role focused on a major financial implementation, no questions were asked about that experience. Instead, the questions asked were more about how to manage a project when that experience is already demonstrated by experience. The criticism was focusing too much on past experience when those were the questions posed by the interview team. One individual at a Director level was quite rude during the interview process. My impression of the IT team at Dollar General is that the individuals who interviewed me have impressive titles but little to no soft skills required for complex implementations. When I talk with persons working at store locations, the feedback received is that Corporate views employees as simple drones who deserve little to no pay and long work hours.

Great it was wonderful. They asked a great deal of questions and I was able to answer each and every one. It was the best experience I have had in such a long time to go through an interview of such pristine importance.
