I applied in an e-mail to the operations manager. The president responded with some questions about my experience and availability. After some more e-mail correspondence, he scheduled a half day of in-person interviews that would include a presentation of a project I had done at my previous job. I had 2 weeks to prepare. There were two 1-on-1 interviews, a tour of the company, my presentation, lunch with several of the employees, and three more 1-on-1 interviews. I was offered the job in what felt like only 5 minutes after the last interview.
