This is a true and real review
I interviewed with Double Quick about 3 months ago. I landed my interview by calling in to the store. I called in to the store and spoke with the manager about open positions. The manager asked me about my availability, and I provided the manager with the information. The manager then told me about deli position and cashier, and I were more interested in the deli. The manager told me to come up to the store the very next day to speak with the person who that's over the deli.
The next day, I called Double Quick very early in the morning and asked to speak with the person whom the manager told me to come up to the store to speak with. The individual over the daily asked that I come to the store to discuss the job position.
I then got ready and went to the store. Arrived at the store, greeted the cashier whom was the manager on the register. I informed the manager that I was told to come up to the store to speak with someone about a position in the deli.
The manager yelled out to individual that's over the deli and said I was present in the store. The manager and I had a brief conversation while I waited to speak with the individual over the deli.
The individual over then came to the front counter, asked me to step in to the kitchen to show me around. I was told that the chicken frying grease will need to be removed and was asked if I could handle doing so. I said yes. Then I was showed were the store keeps the can goods, seasons for the chicken, the sink and that was basically it.
Next I was asked to come and sit and discuss the position. We Sat at a table in the window and I went on to share the reasons why I needed the job. The individual interviewing me didn't ask me any real questions during the time we sat at the table other than, if I can work with young people and I said yes.
A long story short, I was told by the individual interviewing me that I would be given a chance. I was provided with new hire paperwork and told purchase black pants and black shoes.
Then right after I gave the individual interviewing me all of my private information such as social security number and etc, I was told during the interview by the person interviewing me that they dont like to hire women in the kitchen.
I never heard back from this location.
I reapplied at another location in town and went to a second interview just at a different location. I was interviewed and showed around the store, and told by the person interviewing me that they were not looking for a female working and was looking for a male worker.
