They asked a lot about myself and helped me feel comfortable about presenting my best self. I liked that some questions were more fun and casual. It was very different from my previous interviews at other companies and overall, a good experience.

When I started talking with Duo, I had a competing offer from another attractive tech firm for a comparable role. I was up front about this and the recruiting staff at Duo did a great job of quickly scheduling me for a phone screen and then for onsite interviews within just a few days. The onsite interview started with a tour of Duo's very sharp office space. Following this, I had interview sessions with the Dir/Engineering, COO, and CTO. I also had a chance to speak with the recruiting staff before leaving for the day. The recruiters also made other staff members available for me to talk to over the phone in the week after my interview so that I could ask additional questions about the company and the role to make sure the fit was right. Several people introduced themselves to me and welcomed me to the offices throughout the day of onsite interviews, which I thought reflected extremely well on the company culture and conveyed the general enthusiasm of the folks working at Duo. Duo turned around a formal offer about a week after my interview. Ultimately, I decided pack up my family and move a few hundred miles to Ann Arbor for this position rather than taking the other attractive offer I had on the table that did not require a move. The key factors that won me over were the incredible management team, the positive corporate culture, and a clear vision that I felt like would make it easy to come to work excited on a daily basis contributing to products and services that are interesting.
