      Colloquio

It was a pure scandal. Mobbing or moral harassment during a job interview is a crime that can not be brought into justice (can not be proved or being of no value) giving only the chance to poor-minded, petty middle-managers to release their inferiority complexes/frustrations to young candidates who need to work for living. I was invited in a two-days harassment (or so-called assessment centre and interviews) along with other seven candidates in Wilton R&D Centre in UK for a position in Dumfries upon having passed successfully some IQ tests on line. I was told that I hit the highest score (generally top 2% and top among the 300 candidates). I was fresh graduate engineer holding two Masters degrees from an accredited UK university with a track record of high academic performance. I received an amazingly cold diminishing welcoming in the centre and during every step of the interviews process I experienced ignorance, discrimination and abuse. On my arrival in the centre I was totally ignored in the reception by the manager who welcomed and talked to other candidates. She looked me with depreciation and just told me coldly to follow them without making any comment (not a "hello" or the classic one "how was your trip?"). In a first panel interview being together with other two people who pretended to be candidates (not among the seven invited) I was again totally ignored as the interviewer addressed only to the other two. I was even asked to leave the chairs across the interviewer to other candidates and get a seat in the table aside him! He stated at one point that one of those two would work on certain tasks (which he described) in the position we all had applied. In an(e)ther one-to-one session the interviewer (who was a technician) abused me using derogatory characterizations and tried to belittle me while being irrational. In other interview sessions and moronic play roles HR messed with my patience. Of course it would be very easy to insult them and leave at the first stage but I was curious to see how it would end and I kept my patience. Besides, I had made hundreds of km to attend that “harassment” coming from another European country. If one is fresh graduate and needs to work for living there is no other way but to make patience when he/she suffers mobbing in the workplace but during the interview I could not understand what was the point?! They wanted to check my abusive vocabulary? If they felt inferiority complexes due to my superior credentials and top IQ score then they should not invite me for an interview. If they considered me seriously for employment and wanted to meet me (and maybe harass me later during my employment) they should not put me off at this stage. I was not able to present myself as they killed directly my motivation, I was not offered the job, neither I got any reimbursement for that crime. Of course, I got disgusted by meeting such petty managers. It is inconceivable that I was invited not for presenting myself but for them to present their appalling corporate culture to me. Even if I would get an offer I could not accept it as my values were in contrast to their corporate harassment “values” which demonstrated to me. I shared my experience with the other candidates who condemned such pointless practices during an interview. Nobody could find an answer to "why I was invited" if they wanted to make me leave. At the farewell dinner of that despicable event one of those petty managers -organisers appeared with red cheeks from shame and a satanic smile as I was still there, had not yet left. The other manager was discussing with one candidate if there was any software that one can use to hit such high score as mine!! Obviously, he also had scored lower than me. It is inconceivable that there are such petty people who get managerial positions and release their frustrations to candidates. They had maybe fallen victims themselves during their employment and failed to follow proper legal procedures and wanted to release their frustrations to fresh graduates by harassing them AT THAT EARLY STAGE out of employment!!!! Now, being experienced (in all terms) working in the industry when I look back at that first stage in my career I say that those “managers” who organized that shameful event are the pettiest ones I have encountered. A pointless crime without indemnification which demonstrates the CTE of the organisers and their followers! It is clear that their aim was to kick me out not only from the company in which I applied but also from the country and if possible generally from the global employment making me disgusted. They only succeeded in the first two, as my need to work for living was not kicked off. Few words to them: You are worthy of disgrace since you get pleasure by harassing candidates in such despicable interview events you organize. Keep your shame on your cheeks and get a trident to complete your ugly image. A great boooooo to your faces and complexes.

      Domanda 2

Amazingly, the chauffer who drove me to the station was put by the company to get my feedback. Without sharing with him my impressions he told me "if you are wondering why, this is called professional jealousy". One can call it jealousy or mobbing directed by the petty management, the graduates are aware of such "jealousy"as it exists in all sectors including schools and universities. But companies normally have a code of conduct to punish such nasty behaviour. Interviews serve for the candidates and the company to present themselves. But Dupont Teijin demonstrated their lack of corporate values presenting an appalling corporate culture and suggested that one should accept if they wanted to join the company! What is the point to call one for an interview to show their nasty face for making them leave?! For getting indemnities you need to work and not just attend an interview!!! Again, boooooooooooooooooooooooo!

      Domanda 3

On top of that abuse they also violated the personal data of all candidates as HR communicated to us the programme of that shameful interview event by sending an email to our personal emails we used in our applications without our consent revealing the names/emails of all candidates. Nobody would like to meet other candidates for the post they applied and share their personal data. One can imagine how our CVs could have been treated. They were capable of uploading them at the internet for further provovation!
