HR will make you sit for hours and then arrange interview with line team lead/manager, will be just lame questions about your knowledge in the field. If you were promised an amount after 3 -6 months review, please do not accept, you will never get it. Get your salary requirements right away and only accept if it is satisfactory. A promise is not always kept in salary related dealings.
