There was no formal interview. ESS took over the substitute teacher program for my school district and we attended an informational webinar and after submitting an application I was notified via email. Pretty easy process. If you've never been a substitute before there might be more involved.

The interview process is done online. All paperwork needs to be uploaded. Once your references are complete and background check you have to wait for an acceptance email. Then you’re good to go.

Uploading resume, filling out questionnaire, and Zoom interview. The process was smooth, and ESS was responsive and timely. I was hired quickly. Everyone I spoke with during the hiring process was kind and communicated well.
