      Colloquio

      I received an email request for an initial screening interview which was conducted over MS Teams with a member of the Innovation Project team. Following the interview, I received another request for a follow-on interview, also conducted via MS Teams. This was a 4-hour interview that included introductions, a candidate presentation utilizing PowerPoint, an interview session with the Innovation Project team, an interview session with business stakeholders, and a wrap up session with an HR recruiter. I felt that the entire interview process went well and I received very positive feedback from several interviewers. I was told by the recruiter that I would hear something within two weeks. After 3 weeks had passed, I reached out to the recruiter who informed me that because members of the interview team had "gone on vacation" the process was taking longer than normal. Another 6 weeks passed without hearing anything from Eastman. In that time, I received another offer for a better position from a much better company, and accepted. I emailed the Eastman recruiter to inform him that I had accepted another offer, and there was no reply. After more than 5 hours of interviews, I think a company the size of Eastman could at the very least send a response one way or the other. This process significantly soured me toward the company, and I wouldn't consider applying to any positions there in the future.
