      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Eaton (Fort Worth, TX) nel mese di giu 2022

      Colloquio

I applied for the position on 6/7/22. My experience was terrible throughout the entire process. First of all, Eaton has this A.I. robot that you must communicate with when they're interested in setting up a phone screen, versus actual interaction with a human being. This alone was disconcerting, but not a dealbreaker. This invitation was received on 6/8. As far as the questions themselves, they were "MOSTLY* ok (standard prescreen qustions). However, 2 things bothered me: 1. The recruiter still asked me to provide my salary requirements even though the range was disclosed in the posting. Common sense would dictate that I saw the range and it was obviously acceptable to me if I still applied dor the position. So what I did was just quote the exact range in the posting back to them. 2. The recruiter was extremely disengaged. They had a very dull/dreay tone to their voice as thoigh they were just going through the motions and didn't really want to speak with me. And then when we got to the part where I asked questions, they were really abrupt with their answers as though I shouldn't have been asking them or they were too hard. I get that recruiters may be working multiple positions and speaking with tons of different people every day (which can be exhausting). I also get that recruiters may be under pressure to not get too casual with applicants at risk of saying something that may cause legal trouble. *HOWEVER*, it's my expectation that recruiters should still come across as cheery and empathetic to candidates they talk to, given the applicants are likely thrilled to work for the company when submitting their resume and it's important for them to have a positive first impression if an offer is extended. ^^^The above phone screen took place on 6/14. During my phone screen, I specifically ask the recruiter for a timeline for when they expect to select a candidate and they only gave a passive aggressive answer saying "When the right candidate is found!!!"I pressed them on this and they grudgingly (and sounding annoyed) admitted there was no urgency to fill the position. They also confirmed they would forward my information to the hiring manager for review, which I trusted would happen (it didn't). ***But WAIT!!! It gets better!!!*** After that 6/14 phone screen, I didn't hear anything (it was radio slience) for 1 month as they essentially ghosted me. Since then, I had moved on and have reached the final interview stage for 4 other positions at other companies (all of which have had far more plesant interview processes). On 7/12, I suddenly get a call out of the blue from *ANOTHER* reruiter who comes up with some ridiculous excuse about being on maternity and things being backed up. Even if that were true (which I doubt), in a well-run company with a competent recruitment team, my answers to the prescreen question should have been saved and already forwarded to the hiring manager if the previous recruiter did their job. But instead, this recruiter claims they want to ask "a couple of questions" and tries to start the whole prescreen process over again. I proceeded to question her about this and then announced I was withdrawing my candidacy. Yet again, like the previous recruiter I spoke with, she was equally as disengaged had no remorse what so ever. All she could say in response was "Well ok, bye!"'' My understanding is that the recruiters at Eaton are all 3rd party contractors, so that may explain part of the reason why the recruiters don't seem to have any care for the candidate & their time/energy invested into their job openings. None the less, it should be embarassing for a so-called Fortune 500 company to have such a broken process in place with no respect for prospective employees. And to HR, please do not respond with their boiler plate "Sorry for your experience" comment. I refuse to have further discussion with this company as it is now on my blacklist as a job applicant. However, I have posted this review to warn others about my experience so they know what they're getting to when applying for a job at Eaton. And yes, my recommendation is *DO NOT* apply for jobs at Eaton if you want to work with a company that treats you like a human being.
