I submitted my application and received a call back within a week. In person interview (this was pre-covid), the interview was fairly short. I was asked to take a practice SAT (they require a minimum SAT score for tutors) but then the center director changed her mind when I was halfway through and asked if I could give a demo lesson to a new prospective student. I ended up being offered the job on the spot. I don't know if this is an accurate reflection of other locations though - my location was not particularly well managed and they had a high turnover of tutors (at least three others came and went during the six months I worked there). I suspect I was hired so easily because they were a) desperate and b) I had an advanced degree from an elite school.
