As mentioned above, the manager had me create a web application as part of the interview process. The website would display daily appointment data for a fictitious doctor's office listing the patient's name, the and the status of the patient (whether the patient had arrived or not), along with a link that could be pressed that would "check the patient in" when the patient had arrived for his/her appointment, and then send a text message to the doctor of that patient telling the doctor that patient has arrived for his/her appointment.
