      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Eight Eleven Group (New York, NY)

      Colloquio

I recently had an interview with Eight Eleven Group for a position at NYU Langone that was advertised as a full-time job. However, during the phone interview, I found out that it was actually a 6-month hourly position and not a guaranteed full-time role. The interviewer mentioned that there was a possibility of being made full-time after 6 months, but it wasn't a certainty. This immediately raised red flags for me, and I became even more skeptical when I was told that despite receiving multiple LinkedIn messages expressing interest in my background, I was not being considered for the position due to a lack of NIH grant experience. This wasn't listed on the job description. The interviewer then wanted to ask me to answer standard HR questions, which seemed strange given that I had already been ruled out for the position. It almost felt like she needed to meet a quota or fulfill some kind of contract obligation by interviewing a certain number of candidates. The whole process felt very disrespectful and left a bad taste in my mouth. Overall, I would advise caution when considering job opportunities at Eight Eleven Group. While the initial recruitment process may seem promising, the reality is that they may not be upfront about the terms of employment or the likelihood of transitioning to a full-time role. It's important to do your research and ask plenty of questions before investing time and energy into the hiring process.
