Phone screen followed by full-day panel interviews & research seminar. The phone screen was ~30 min chat and then I was invited to come for onsite interview a few weeks later. That was a full day of interviews from the team followed by my having to present a research seminar for the group.

Contacted ahead of time for potential dates, with interview scheduled at my convenience. Used travel service to book flights, hotel stay. Only money out of pocket (later reimbursed) were airport parking and meals. Interview itself was handled professionally- set times/schedules, all people involved were on time and prepared with questions. Time also dedicated to discussion of benefits. Plenty of time left to make it to return flight without issue.
