Applied on their website and was contacted via email the same day. They gave me access to Cell Press journals and had me pick 6 recent articles and describe why I thought they were strong articles. I also had to write 2 promotional tweets for each. They also sent along the summary of a article with guidelines (word count, aims, reference style, etc.) and made me edit the summary in word. Both tasks were fairly easy. After these tasks were complete I waited a week and they contacted me to let me know I was selected for an interview. Interview was 1-on-1 and went well. Lasted about 30 minutes over Zoom. Interviewer told me they would contact me within 2 weeks to let me know if I was successful or not. After 2 weeks I contacted them via email and was told that they were still reviewing and I would hear back from them as soon as a decision was made. It's been a month with no reply so I wouldn't recommend waiting on them.
