Spoke with a recruiter who was fantastic and really wonderful. Seriously, one of the best recruiters I had ever interviewed with.
Set up for a video call with Director of Marketing, UX Designer, and PM. Found out at this point that the really wonderful recruiter would be leaving (it would make sense why later).
During the next interview, both Director of Marketing and the Lead UX Designer introduced themselves as the Interim Director of Product. They all seemed like really nice people but the leadership void without a clear director was evident.
The interview was schedule for an hour and when that interview was done, they asked if I could stay on for another hour to interview with the development team. Not a big deal, just shows the level of organization the company is at. I stayed on and the development team seemed like your standard development team.
Final interview was with the CEO. The CEO is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations and the main driver of the product. In fact, he was the 3rd person to introduce himself as the Interim Director of Product. As far as I can tell, all product decisions go through him. As you can read, the CEO also has several negative Glassdoor reviews as recently as a few weeks ago. I had several questions about his daily involvement and these negative reviews. While he does admit he's been wrong in the past, he defended the bad reviews by saying he had to do what was in the best interest of the company. He said his job was to care about the "ship" not the individuals. He also said the product decisions will continue to run through him.
Unfortunately, I had already said what I looked for in a CEO was someone who cared about their employees as people instead of just part of the system and that they let their employees do the job they were hired to do.
After making it to the final step, I got a templatized email that I didn't get the job.

The engineering team asked how comfortable I felt pushing back against decisions dictated from executives if I felt they were the wrong decisions.

Applied online and received an invitation to a first round screen with a recruiter a few weeks later.
They sent me at least 5 different emails confirming our screen but some messages said it was a phone screen, the others said it was a Zoom call. Very confusing start to the process.
Unlike many other phone screens I've done, this one felt very clunky and disjointed. A lot of awkward silences while the recruiter was writing down things I said and overall the conversation did not flow very smoothly. I could tell they didn't even look at my resume since they asked me repeat questions that could have been answered if they had looked at my background before the call.
The recruiter said they are going through a period of high turnover, and the other reviews on here seem to confirm that. Ultimately I got a templated rejection after the first round but doesn't seem like I missed out on too much.

Do you have experience working with engineering teams?
The interview process began with an initial chat with the CEO. Then, I spoke with the supervisor for the position and two others involved in the process.
They were welcoming, clear about what they were looking for and keen to find the right fit. However, they ultimate decided not to hire for the job.
