Must be quick on your feet, able to stand in a single position for entire shift, be the welcome mat to customer complaints and if you did not major in hospitality you are more likely to be hired and subsequently paid much less than your co-worker graduates but still required to perform at the same level.

called in for an interview and met with front desk manager. He asked basic customer service oriented questions and how I would handle a difficult situation/guest. Make sure to have examples ready for different scenarios and how you have handled a difficult customer in the past.
