Assessment was a joke. 4 weeks later i heard back about a recruiter interview. Only good thing was how easy it was to schedule follow up meetings if they chose you to go next. Recruiter interview was easy as they just ask you your experience. - Tech interview was a joke. Not in any relation to current experience and results. They literally ask you 20 questions they would find out of a textbook about Software development and Web Development. They don't care about your experience. This job is for a programmer that can't get a job anywhere else so they take the little pay from the product owner position. Seems they are trying to hire 1 person to do a 2 person job and pay them next to nothing to do that work. Don't waste your time.

My interview experience began with an unusually long and thorough chat with an internal recruiter who asked excellent questions and explained the hiring process. The next step was an aptitude test with questions that felt relevant to the role and less like the IQ-style tests I'd taken with other companies. Then there were two rounds of simulated project work with Emergent folks playing the part of the client. Peppered throughout the process were lots of technical questions that helped gauge my level of knowledge. This was a difficult interview process but it was also a lot of fun and gave me ample room to demonstrate my skills and my style. At the end, I felt that Emergent really understood what I would bring to the team and how I would contribute to the company culture.
