Much like other interview reviews, had an absolutely disappointing and horrible candidate experience. Applied online, was contacted by a recruiter to take an assessment test, 4 sections timed at 10 minutes each. It was a personality test and 3 other mind tests that had zero relation to what the role actually entails (ex: provided a picture of a deconstructed square and asked which option would be the accurate representation). In the beginning of the test, the CTO provides a 2 min overview of why the test is important and thanks the candidate for their time. Received a rejection the next day. If youre going to ask a candidate to take assessments, it makes more sense to ask them things relatively close to what they'd be doing rather than various mind quizes that can be found in newspaper ads.

After reaching out to me, I had to participate in three separate interviews and complete one assignment. The first was an initial, get-to-know kind of interview with my recruiter. I then received an email with a test site and was asked to spend one hour testing it for defects and logging everything I found in an Excel document. My second interview was with a Manager and Director who asked me more about my experience, how I handled tough testing situations, and other QA questions. My final interview was with the CTO who quizzed me on various tech categories like the cloud, databases, and more. Each interview was done on a Teams video call.
