I initially had a positive experience when a kind recruiter reached out, asked some standard questions, and gave me the option between a take-home assignment and a technical interview. I chose the take-home assignment.
The assignment itself was straightforward, and I completed it exactly as requested. However, they took quite a while to review a simple project and then claimed they couldn’t access the file. I sent the same link again, and suddenly, they were able to access it.
At that point, I suspected they might reject me over a call, as others had mentioned, to avoid leaving a paper trail. Sure enough, they asked to meet without providing any clear reasoning or proper scheduling. When I pressed for confirmation on whether my assignment was accepted, they ultimately ghosted me.
Unfortunately, this entire process felt like a complete waste of time. It’s disappointing to see such disorganization and lack of professionalism in handling candidates.
