01/29/2021 - HR reached out to notify me that I had previously applied for a role and was over qualified for it (7 months prior), but they had a role that would be a good fit for me.
02/04/2021 - Initial Interview with the Director of HR. This interview covered the technical details of the role and was the most in depth focused on my experience and qualifications.
02/11/2021 - Interview with the hiring manager to ensure working styles would be a good fit and that experience existed in the areas needed to assist the hiring manager in lightening of workload and department growth.
02/16/2021 - Interview with the VP of Technology to cover things from a 10k foot view and ensure a good fit for company culture and leadership.
02/18/2021 - Technical interview with a business analyst to review Excel capabilities.
02/22/2021 - Director of HR reached out to inform me that the team was very impressed with me, there was nothing more I could have done to get the role, but the CEO ultimately decided to go a different direction.
Throughout the interview process I was told multiple times about my value to the company, that the company culture was the most important thing to them, and that leadership is completely transparent. There were talks of an offer letter after the first two rounds, yet one was never sent and ultimately Enlighten went a different direction. I completely understand going a different direction and that the decision was made top down.
With that said, I'd like to think that throughout a 3 week interview process, that this would have been a known factor in play and I would have been told up front that a Director level role was also being interviewed for instead of that the job was mine to lose if being transparent is important to Enlighten.
The employees that I met along the way were kind, intelligent, and truly seemed interested in what I could add to the company and I hope that they can be more transparent / less misleading in future interviews.
