The interview process was well organized and executed. Two phone calls, a tech screening, and two onsite interviews with sharp people. Then I met the CEO. Ask yourself the question whether you would spend 20 minutes interviewing someone with questions as to how their gender, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or ethnicity would potentially bring negatives into the organization." That's what I got as a veteran interviewing at Entech. I proudly and honorably served in the US Army. The line of questioning coming from the CEO was insulting and hurtful. I was shocked. Discrimination based on Veteran Status will always come to mind when I hear this company's name.
Another thing: They made an offer, but downgraded the initial salary agreement by $20,000. Never heard of such a thing. The reason for the downgrade was that I might leave for a better job. Really crazy right? 20,000 less to mitigate the risk that I might leave the company at some point in the future. Maybe that's their SOP - to bait you in with a higher than market salary, then knock it down for some reason. Or maybe it was just me - the person who served. Be prepared to address this strange situation when the offer call comes. I should have just said "No" immediately to that ridiculousness.
