I applied online and was scheduled for an initial interview. Not even 5 minutes into the initial conversation on Zoom, I was told I did not have the qualifications for the Sr. Event Manager role but they would like to see if I wanted to interview for the Event Manager. Mind you, I have over 10 years experience and was over qualified based on the job description's requirements.
I was not given the opportunity to talk about myself or responsibilities in previous roles before being told this was determined off of my resume. I asked that since she had my resume before this, then why was this interview scheduled?
I was also told that I needed to "step back before I could step forward" after I shared the pay range for the Event Manager role was below my required minimum (which again is not the job I applied for). Wild experience. Not professional at all. I would dodge this place!!

The only questions I was asked was "Tell me about yourself"

Colloquio
Nothing outside of the ordinary.
Application submitted w/cover letter.
Email invitation from in-house recruiter to schedule an initial 30min interview.
Standard questions regarding background and experience to ensure they align with the role and expectations.
Explanation of next steps: if selected for next round they would provide an exercise that is a simulation of everyday duties with a 48 hour turnaround time.
Assessment was very well designed for evaluating skills. The time limit, while reasonable, created a challenge to be able to deliver to 100% completion with adequate cross-checking.

The interview process consisted of meeting with the company recruiter, then a 48-hour test assessment, and then an interview with an Operations Manager. A lot of the Glassdoor reviews mention a "Mean Girls" culture at the company. That is exactly what I experienced during my interview. Jamie (mentioned negatively in other reviews) was matter of fact, surprisingly uninterested in getting to know me, and asked not one, but three negative questions back-to-back in the interview. She was so condescending during the interview and used the same response to all my answers, "Okay, that's great," without a smile or any authentic intention. I was so put off, I contemplated turning off my computer and abandoning the interview. Clearly, Jamie is the "Regina George" all the negative company and interview reviews mention. How a company can support someone so negative and hostile is beyond me. I truly feel bad for anyone who has to work with her. I dodged a bullet by not being offered the position.

First question: Tell me about a time you were reprimanded by your supervisor, what you did wrong, and how you handled it. Second question: Describe when something went wrong at an event, why you didn't see coming, and how you handled it. Third question: Describe a time you were planning an event with your superior and there was a disagreement. How did you handle it, and how was the outcome?
