      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Enverus (Austin, TX) nel mese di ott 2024

      Colloquio

I applied for a Contract Role with Enverus, and I heard back from them the very next day. The recruiter was beaming with excitement and interest, and mentioned multiple times that my resume and background was exactly what they were looking for. We discussed typical first interview topics like career goals, prior experience and expectations for the role. During the first interview, the recruiter mentioned that the Hiring Manager told him that he loved my resume, and this first call was more of a formality, then we planned the second interview on the initial call. I met with the hiring manager, and he was great. I really enjoyed our conversation, and felt like our goals aligned together for the contract position as well as the potential after the contract ended to find something else within Enverus. I answered similar questions to the first interview, like career ambitions, why Enverus as an employer would be a good fit and how I felt I would contribute to the role within the duration of the contract. That interview ended on a positive note, and I thought next steps were all but guaranteed with both positive responses and tones in both interviews. I waited almost a week to hear back, and I received an automated response from their general Recruiting email group. I felt like this was odd, considering the positive direction of both interviews, so I responded to my recruiter asking for feedback or if he could provide areas where I may have made a mistake in the interview process. The recruiter that had been so great, has completely ghosted me and has yet to respond (With the decision being communicated on Oct.9th). I've followed up on a couple emails, and even called him via his direct line and left a voicemail. I then followed up with the Hiring manager, seeing as I couldn't get additional information via the recruiter, and he has yet to follow up with me either. I do not understand how a candidate process could feel so energetic and positive to start, and then be so cold out of nowhere. I have worked in HR, and I respect the time of recruiting teams as I know many things in the hiring process are out of their hands. However, it is a choice to ignore an applicant's valid questions, and decide not to value the candidate's experience and time on the other side of the interview. I can't help feeling like something was off with this process, like there was more to the process. Whether it was an interview to hit a quota for the applicant pool, or if it was simply to check off a box in their candidate position interview requirements. All I wanted was to be heard, and connected with by a real voice within the company, and if the recruiting process is any indication of the experience within Enverus, it sounds like it may not have been a fit for me after all. I wish them all the best moving forward, but there needs to be more accountability in the interview process for those that are interviewing, as well as being the interviewee by the Candidate's perspective.
