Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite l'università. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Epic (Verona, WI) nel mese di mag 2015

      Colloquio

Typical interview process up until the online assessment. This is where it started to differ from the norm. If they like you in your first two phone interviews, they will send you a link to take a proctored online assessment. Overall, it wasn't too bad, typically takes about 60-90 min. After this, they invite you onsite, where they put you up in a pretty nice hotel in Madison, take you out to dinner with 3 or 4 other candidates along with an Epic employee. Then the interview day, which consists of campus tours, info sessions with employees in the positions you are applying for, case studies which morph into behavioral interviews, and typically a short presentation on a topic of your choosing. Overall, the whole on-site interview day was pretty comfortable and non-stressful, but you get the kind of idea the whole time that they are trying to sell the company to you a bit too much, which seems fishy. Red-flags everywhere when reading reviews of employees that work or have worked there.

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Epic (Madison, WI) nel mese di gen 2015

      Colloquio

I applied directly through the Epic website for the Project Manager/ Implementation Consultant role, and received an email a couple days later asking me if I would be interested in the Technical Services position as well (due to my Engineering background). Two days later, I received an email to schedule a brief 30 minute phone interview with a Project Manager at Epic, as well as a personality test and the online skills assessments to complete before the phone interview. The personality test was around 15-20 minutes long, consisting of questions where you had to rank statements according to how much you identify with them. With these, I suggest demonstrating that you are a good team player because work at Epic is very team-based. There were also questions where you have to identify words that don't belong (ie trees, flowers, grass, chicken) - I have no idea how this determines your personality but it's easy. As for the online assessment, it really isn't that bad. Knowing that they look at your accuracy and SPEED, I didn't really double check the answers and finished around 50 mins. It is proctored through proctorU where a person is watching you through webcam, so there is more pressure but you don't really notice them after awhile. The test has 4 sections- 2min speed, math/logic, programming, and grammar section (see interview questions). Because of the length of the test, avoid doing it when you're already tired, and try to do it on a bigger screen if possible. For the phone interview, the Project Manager asked me a list of standard HR questions for 15 minutes, and the rest 15 minutes were for me to ask questions. Expect questions such as 'Why Epic', 'Why Project Manager', and 'Where do you see yourself in five years', with little to no behavioral questions. The interview was pretty casual ( not conversational, more like Q&A), and I've heard it's less important than the online assessment. I was invited for an onsite interview 3 days after the phone interview/online assessment. Epic flies you out to Madison, with travel expenses and hotel covered. You can also ask to stay an additional night to explore more of Madison. The night of my arrival, I went to dinner with an employee and 3 other candidates. The dinner is non-mandatory and is a good opportunity to ask questions and bond with candidates you'll be interviewing with the next day. Because I was interviewing for two positions, the onsite interviews started at 8:30am and lasted until 2-3pm. There was a software demo, position overviews for TS and PM, presentation, campus tour, case studies, lunch with candidates/employee, and an HR interview. The only parts that are actual interviews are the case studies and HR interview (all 30 mins), and maybe the 10 min presentation. - The case studies are easy, specific cases where you are given a situation you might encounter as a PM/TS, and you have to talk about how you would prioritize or resolve the issues. I was interviewed with another candidate who was interviewing for the same positions, and we took turns answering the questions. Epic hires a lot of recruits every year, so don't feel threatened by the other candidate. It's possible that you will both get an offer. - For the 10 min presentation, you are asked to talk about any subject you are knowledgable in for 10 minutes to 3-4 employees. Keep in mind the employees probably did not volunteer to attend your presentation, so I would suggest selecting an interesting topic, and don't be discouraged if they look like they're just there so they don't get fired. - HR interview consisted of more HR type questions (see below), as well as discussing salary expectations and how you feel about each position. The dress code for the interview& campus is casual, so I think dressing in smart casual (as if you are taking your girlfriend out to dinner) instead of in a suit and tie will help you look like you belong at Epic. Overall the interviews/overviews were all pretty laid back, and everyone is nice and accommodating. HR tries to get back to you with a decision within 1-2 weeks.

      Domanda 1

Online assessment: - Start with the speed section, because your eyes will be so tired by the end of the test. The questions were really easy, but have a calculator handy. ( I only got through 6/10 questions) - Math/logic section: reading through the other reviews online will help go through this section faster. Math or logic questions you can pretty much figure out yourself, but there are some mind riddle questions that can trip you out (ie. apple is 40 cents, banana is 60 cents, how much is a pear? A: 40 cents, bc it has two vowels lol). - Grammar section: really easy grammar questions where you have to correct a sentence, with questions such as YOUR vs YOU'RE or COULD'VE vs COULD OF (<- this is not a word) - Programming: I've only taken one programming class (where I went to class 10% of the time) so I chose the no experience option. This is fine even if you are applying for TS role. It teaches you basic programming logic such as AND and OR, and is manageable if you don't freak out and just take some time to think through it. HR interview: 5 things you are not? Why did you choose your major/ college? What is your pet peeve?

      Colloquio

I had a phone interview with them after only being selected as an alternate and not receiving an on-campus interview. Basically went through your resume to make sure you could talk about everything. Talked about two positions with them while only talking to one guy from Implementation. Then I got asked to come to Madison for an in-person interview. He spent as much time (or more) talking about experiences and stuff about Epic than he did asking me questions.
