RACIST company. Wouldn't give an opportunity to young prepared professionals to develop within their company, judging them based on the place they were born. Completely negative experience, rude HR people and very racist, be aware of the companies you want to work for and how they treat people around you. Companies as big as Essence shouldn't have people with this sort of behaviour.

A recruited from Essence reached out to me via LinkedIn. I interviewed for a media planner position at the end of November. I was then offered another interview with another team at Essence in the beginning of December. I interviewed with two team members the second time and hit it off. It was very casual and a fun setting.

Colloquio
A long 3 stage interview process involving HR, Quantitaive and face to face interviews. Prior to being called for the face to face one, the recruiter/ HR was extremely courteous and communicative. However post the face to face there was utter silence and no communication or feedback. Despite following up with the HR, there was no response. At the end of a week of following up, I received a generic email stating I was not going to receive an offer. If a candidate has to repeatedly follow up, it speaks of lack of appreciation of a candidate's time and energy invested in the interview process.
