There were four total interviews. The first one was over the phone with HR, the second one was over the phone with the hiring manager, and the last two were video interviews that each took over an hour. Overall the process was going smoothly then during the last interview I was told to expect an email with a short assignment and to complete it and email my work back. I was never sent the email. I sent an email to the hiring manager to let him know I didn't receive it and I got no response. In fact, that final interview was the last contact I had with hiring manager altogether. I understand wanting to go with another candidate, or deciding not to move forward with my application, but to tell me to expect an email and then never send it. Then to not even respond to me inquiring about said email? It's very unprofessional.
