Applied online a few days later I received a request for a phone interview. The phone interviewer very clearly had never worked a research position and had no idea what the job entailed. They were rude which was off putting. I was told I was overqualified for the position and they were not going to move forward, I reached out to inquire in what ways my expertise would be a limitation in order for me better adapt for future positions. They never responded. They were rude and highly unprofessional.
