I applied for a traineeship at the European Commission and got into the Bluebook. I then received a call from DG Trade. The interview started straight away, with questions about my background, the topic of my thesis and a few trade-related questions. Was promised a decision before the end of the week and got the job.

very fast, make sure your application has no errors, then you get preselected. For the interview you will either get a phone call or a video call it depends on the the person in charge. My phone call was 10 minutes.
