Appalling.
Left waiting weeks on end for a response, after initial interview which seemed really positive, they invited me to do some pair programming, review a PR and explain how I would solve some problems they had with displaying stock. These all went really well and I was told I'd be speaking to the CEO and meeting the team later that week.
Then I got completely ghosted! Nothing for weeks and then finally an email at midnight on a Friday (terrible boundaries) to tell me that the position had changed and they were looking for a Full Stack person (despite the position for FED still being on their website months later)
I explained I'd be willing to take that on, as I was really passionate about the company and product and I'm always learning, so not a big deal to do more back end, could be really interesting. Then ghosted again. No response for 3 whole months.
Then when they finally did bother to hammer the nail in the coffin after that huge gulf of time, they told me they were really sorry they hadn't bothered to contact me as they had been accused of racism, and that they were busy dealing with the fallout of that.
So not only potentially a discriminating company, but liars, and happy to waste people's time and manipulate them.
The worst hiring experience of my life. As someone who was out of work due to covid and under immense pressure, finally thinking I was on the road to a great job and then to go through that was extremely demoralising.
