What compensation are you looking for? When this was asked, I answered that my value was $XX.00/hourly and was told that the role is only offering $4-$7 less than what I was asking. Then the RED FLAG hit and the recruiter stated "We wouldn't want to hire you in at a higher rate than others in the same role because if you were to share your compensation with others, WHICH IS NOT ALLOWED, they might get upset."
IF this company is offering fair compensation for the work being done, they wouldn't have to advise a candidate to "not talk about their pay with others," when it is completely legal to do so. It makes me think this company would retaliate against any employee for doing something that is not illegal and could ultimately end in a lawsuit against the Credit Union.
