I was referred in by a friend to interview. I met directly with the CEO and we chatted briefly. She appreciated my resume but was more focused on my abilities and how to tackle some of the challenges they faced in the company. I came back again and we talked in more depth on the problems, then got into salary and bonuses. They were very fair in their first offer and showed me the path to earn even more based on performance which was straightforward and quantifiable -- and they kept their word.
They told me if I wanted the job I'd have it, as long as I passed a background check.

I don't remember the exact questions, but I know that they valued my problem solving skills and self-starting initiative much more than anything else. In fact, it didn't seem that my education mattered at all. They're looking for smart people who can think critically, self-start, and make an impact. They say they hire for attitude/talent, and train for skill.
