I received an email from an HR person asking to schedule an initial call almost 4 weeks after I applied. HR was 20 minutes late to call, and then once she did call just asked to reschedule for the following day. The rescheduled call went fine, and they scheduled in-persons for the following week with the hiring manager and a few others. Then radio silence for the next two weeks. Then an email with the generic "we're still evaluating candidates" in the third week. At that point I lost interest.
Get it together - top talent isn't available for long. You're a C-List organization with has-been brands like Crave Online and others like Totally Her that no one has even heard of..
If you drag your feet for weeks candidates will already have accepted other positions. Unless you're ready to move forward and within a reasonable time frame don't waste everyones time and energy.
Who knows if they'll make me an offer or go with someone else. If they do offer me the position I will not accept it. If they treat potential candidates that they're trying to recruit this way I can only imagine how they treat their employees. And now after reading reviews on this site from current employees there now, I'm certain this is not the company for me.
