This was with a company Exiger recently bought & absorbed. They were originally called XSB, which is based out in Setauket, NY (Eastern Long Island). Be aware, even though I explicitly asked, the recruiter did not indicate to me that travel was required to their Long Island office, but the XSB people definitely expect you to travel to Setauket, NY at least once a month for several days at a time. This is 1.5-2 hrs from the city, depending on where you live. They are very much working on old, legacy systems, and it appears they don't really know developmental best practices and are unaware of modern technologies that are commonplace. The interview was two hours and consisted of behavioral (STAR) and technical. A lot of the questions were very, very basic CS & OOP questions, and mostly about Java language specifics; they seem to be a pure Java shop with no expertise in other areas or languages. The main interviewer of the two had zero personality and I got the sense this isn't the most enjoyable place to work.
