      Colloquio

      There were two interviews that were informal and unstructured. They were more conversations than an interviews. As long as you can talk about your experience confidently you will do great. The first was with the Director of development. The second with the President, both about 20 minutes. Also a final chat before recieving an offer. In the first interview we had established that occasional remote work could be accomodated, but in the second it was explained that it was a 100% on-site role with few exceptions. Then again in a final chat it was clarified that remote work could be accomodated. It was not very proffessional and did not inspire confidence that any informal agreement would be honoured. This was later confirmed in my offer that included no mention of remote work. In my interview with the President he asked about where I have lived previously and for how long. I did not see the point in it and it seemed a little inappropriate. He tended to railroad the conversation and between him clarifying his firm anti-remote work stance and asking about my previous living arrangments, I did not speak much about my qualifications. Their offer met may salary expectations but was heavily lacking in other areas. - Vacation time is only earned after twelve months - Zero sick days until 12 months - No mention of remote work.

      Colloquio

      Met with software development manager and director of development. Both went over prior work experience and discussed the role I was being hired for. I was able to ask any question and they didn't ask me anything I didn't feel comfortable answering. Some minor technical questions to ensure I knew what I was talking about. Second round of interviews was with the CEO who asked me some life questions but I got the feeling they were for genuine purposes because he said he's after employees looking for a rewarding and long career opportunity. Once hired I underwent a 3 week training schedule; lots of information to retain but was able to get relatively up to speed on the company's day to day and tech stack plus start to learn the syntax of their programming language.
