      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso FOODMatch (New York, NY) nel mese di dic 2022

      Colloquio

I applied for this role in late November and within the week I had an initial call about the position. One thing that stuck out to me, in the beginning, was they stated on the job posting that their pay was a lot higher than what they actually were offering. I found this to be very misleading. However, after a pleasant conversation, I was moved on to the next round of interviews to speak with the person this role would report to. She stated that they would follow up with me after the holidays since we spoke right before Christmas. Two weeks into the New Year, I followed up about the next steps, only to be met with crickets. And after seeing the job posted again, I assumed I was no longer being considered for the role. Two months later, I received a phone call asking if I were still interested in the position, and of course, I still was at the time. I was informed the next step would be an in-person interview. I met with two members of the hiring team and was met with cold stares and the entire interview felt more like an interrogation than an actual conversation. Afterward, I was told that were looking to make a decision within the next two business days and I should hear back pretty soon. That was 2 months ago! If I wasn’t right for the position that's okay, not everyone's going to be the perfect fit - but not sending a simple rejection email after I invested my time interviewing and preparing is very rude to your candidates, especially one who came in a day after having surgery! It’s incredibly disrespectful to ghost people like that. During the pandemic, I thought we all learned a little something about treating human beings better! So this shows me that this is not a company that would be a considerate employer. So thank you for helping me dodge a major bullet. I can take time to find an actual good next step than rush into ANOTHER bad workplace culture and be stuck there!
