Phone interview first, then asked to come in for a face to face interview where I was sold the position. I was also told that the position isn't for everybody, because of the close confines in which you must work along side of your teammates.

Easy. They will hire anyone. They do tell you that it is a difficult sale. Will send you home to think it over. When you call in a few days you will get the offer. They will offer $40,000...but that will change. Interview is very conversational. Mostly them showing off and bragging about their publications
