      Offer given, then prolonged and unclear decision after counter — very frustrating process Pros: The team members I met were friendly and the role itself was interesting. Cons: I received an offer for the position and later submitted a compensation counter. After that, I was given a clear timeline for when I should expect a response. Unfortunately, that timeline was missed with no communication. Despite multiple follow-ups, I did not receive any clear update for several days. Only after escalating and reaching out directly to the hiring manager did the process move forward, at which point I was told the company could not meet the compensation discussed. By then, I had already completed multiple interview rounds and a detailed case study, investing significant time and effort. The prolonged silence, missed commitments, and lack of transparency made the experience extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Advice to Management: If expectations or timelines change, communicate proactively. Candidates deserve timely updates and respect for the time they invest, especially after receiving an offer and engaging in further negotiations.
